How this works
This page uses two independent numerology systems side by side. The Pythagorean system (Western) assigns every letter a number from 1 to 9 in alphabetical cycles (A=1, B=2 ... I=9, J=1 ...), and sums your full name into an Expression Number, your vowels into a Heart's Desire Number, and your consonants into a Personality Number - each reduced to a single digit, except "master numbers" 11, 22, and 33, which are kept as-is.
The Chaldean system, shown separately below as your Lo Shu Grid, assigns every letter a number from 1 to 8 (A, I, J, Q, Y = 1; B, K, R = 2; C, G, L, S = 3; D, M, T = 4; E, H, N, X = 5; U, V, W = 6; O, Z = 7; F, P = 8) and places every letter onto a fixed 3x3 grid, the same grid used by the Birth Grid Calculator.
A row, column, or diagonal where all three numbers are present is called an "arrow" in traditional numerology; one that's completely empty is a "missing arrow". No letter maps to the number 9 in the Chaldean system, so 9 always shows as missing for any name - that's expected, not unusual.
Because the two systems use different letter-to-number tables, they will usually produce different numbers for the same name - that's normal, not a contradiction, since they're independent traditions.
